Precision Painting’s General Pricing Guide
The painting of your home is like purchasing a set of golf clubs or getting your hair done. There is a range of pricing from the basic set, to the high-end ultra set, to the top-of-the-line celebrity-autographed set! And even getting your hair “done” can mean different things to different people. Every situation has different variables and prices!
While painting also has many variables that determine price, we want to lay out some general pricing guides to give you some ideas to start with…
The 3 Major Variables to Determine the Cost of Painting:
1. The Texture. This can range from the simple fresh coat on newer siding, to brick or concrete buildings, and then the Synthetic Stucco finishes which really drink up the paint!
2. The Height. This ranges from 8′. 10′, 14′ and then 2nd stories and the few 3rd story homes in Metro Atlanta. We can paint any height, but the taller they are the more expensive they will be.
3. Accessibility. Level 1 would be complete accessibility. This means no bushes, pipes, rails, AC units, or shutters. Level 2 has mild bushes. Level 3 has bushes, pipes, rails, AC units, and shutters. The rare Level 4 is very difficult accessibility and that could mean uneven ground or the need for a lift to get to the hard to reach areas.
Typical Home Prices for North Metro Atlanta:
While every home’s cost will vary based on the 3 variables listed above, we have found that most homes in the North Metro Atlanta area fall into the following price ranges:
- 1,300 – 1,500 square foot homes typically range from $2,000 to $2,500
- 1,500 – 2,000 square foot homes typically range from $2,500 to $3,000
- 2,000 – 3,000 square foot homes typically range from $2,800 to $4,000
- 3,000 – 5,000 square foot homes typically range from $6,000+
We Really Believe Honesty is the Best Policy
At Precision Painting, we have a 2-year labor warranty. However, if you are not interested in the warranty, switching to lower quality paint could save you one to two hundred dollars.
Speaking of warranties… When a company tells you they offer a warranty, be sure to ask them:
1. Is the warranty in writing?
2. Is it a certificate signed by the company and the paint manufacturer?
3. Is your specific address printed on the certificate?
4. Is the certificate transferable to next owner, should you move?
5. Is it a NON-pro-rated warranty?
At Precision Painting, the answer to all 5 questions is a resounding, “YES!”
We suggest, any time you receive an estimate and you are concerned with the price, just ask where the numbers come from. We believe in honesty and being completely up front from the very beginning. We’re not interested in getting you to sign a contract and then surprising you with hidden fees and underhanded charges. We believe in working hard to earn our pay and serving each of our customers with the hopes of receiving referrals from them.
